There is something extra special about the Ocean View Club. It’s a little off the grid. A lot eclectic. It’s imperfect and laid back, but all in the very best taste. It was voted the “Most Bohemian Hotel in the Bahamas” by Condé Nast Traveler. And the talented owners, Ben and Charlie, totally align with the vibe. On an island full of dinner tables set with white table cloths, the Ocean View Club gives a stylish, “just stepped off the beach” feel. And I gotta say—it was the best dinner I had the whole week. What you see pictured above, the stone crab claws starter, was probably one of the best things I’ve ever had… ever ever. It was just something about that sauce, y’all. The menu changes with every meal based on what’s fresh, but I’m so glad we went on a night with those claws because I’m still dreaming about them.
So, the dress. It’s by Mara Hoffman and I linked it below. I’m all about that hem length and think it’s perfect paired with the best heels of spring and summer, these guys. Trust me when I say that you could run a 5k in them. They’re insanely comfortable. And if you beat them up during that race, don’t fret. They’re like $30.
You’re welcome. I am honestly considering buying a pair for next summer. That’s how much I am obsessed.
I bought the necklace at one of the cutest shops on Harbour Island, Blue Rooster. It’s a quaint 1840s cottage and when you step in and feel the cool air and smell the breezy, fresh aroma, you’ll be glad you had a break from the hot sun. There’s a lot to see in there—jewelry, clothing, bags… a little bit of everything.
