Hello! It’s time I share our dining room with you. Along with everything in the house, it’s always a work in progress, but we’re super pleased with it since we’ve added a new chandelier from Candelabra. We picked it out at their sister store, Lyndon Leigh. (They share a website that is full of drool-worthy home decor pieces, but if you’re local to Charleston, then you can visit both Candelabra and Lyndon Leigh because they have local shops!)

We have plantation shutters being made right now—and eventually I’d like to either paint or grasscloth this dining room, so you’ll have to stay tuned for future phases. Can’t do everything at once, right? Well, you can, but…. money.

These are treasures Brandon and I found on a beach walk when we were on Harbour Island. And the champagne cork from our refreshment along the way. 🙂 The basket was made there by a sweet local lady.

I found this cool bowl in a consignment store. Wish I could tell you where it’s originally from, but here’s something similar.

I like to collect matchbooks. The pineapple bowl is from here—so are the monogrammed cocktail napkins!

But back to this chandelier. I love getting light fixtures at Candelabra/Lyndon Leigh—especially if I’m in need of something unique. And unique this one is. I love how it looks like coral… it flows well with the coastal accessories we have within the space.

I knew I wanted something white and crisp because I felt like there were a lot of natural tones in the room… the walls, the sisal rug, the wood buffet server, the bar, etc. I didn’t want anything gold toned, but was afraid that something silver would clash with our gold pops and with the gold lanterns we have in the kitchen. When I first saw this chandelier, I knew it was perfect. The size, the shape… everything.

But there are a LOT of options on the Candelabra website, so prepare to feel a little overwhelmed with amazing options. Same for the actual Candelabra and Lyndon Leigh stores, which are both in Mount Pleasant. Walking in there is a little like a home decor wonderland and you’re not going to want to leave.
