If you’ve been around a little while, you’ll know I’m pretty picky about the products I put on my skin. Because of that, I’ve streamlined my beauty routine a ton. As in, I threw absolutely everything away—from makeup to skincare to body washes—a couple years ago and I’ve carefully been adding things back in. I’m pretty loyal to certain brands and there’s one that I’ve known and loved for years now called Glo Skin Beauty. I actually got turned onto this company almost five years ago because the spa where I occasionally go for facials uses their line and I always love the way it makes my skin feel.
Glo Skin never tests on animals, they never use parabens, they never use talc, and I love that their products aren’t loaded with unnecessary fragrance. Today I’m sharing which products I’m absolutely obsessed with and how I have incorporated each one as a supplement to the same daily skincare routine I’ve stuck with for a couple years now.
These Suede Matte Crayons are my go-to lately. Sort of like a lip liner combined with a lipstick, these lip colors allow you to be precise, but they look and feel so natural on the lips. I love that they’re creamy, yet long-lasting and matte.
Below, I swatched my two favorites—”monogram,” which is the lighter one I’m in the process of swatching, and “trademark,” which is the darker one on top. I’m also applying “trademark” in the second picture below! Nothing like applying some lipstick with no other makeup on, haha!
I apply the Lip Revival before and after putting on a lip color because it not only hydrates, but it gives a noticeable look of fuller and smoother lips. (With no tingling!) It’s packed with all of these great ingredients like sweet almond oil, shea butter, sunflower seed oil, and cocoa butter. It’s light, but packs a punch of hydration.
This Conditioning Milk Cleanser is actually the first Glo Skin Beauty product I ever tried. When my esthetician massaged it onto my skin the very first time, I was sold because of how wonderful it felt and smelled. To me, this isn’t a makeup removing cleanser. I use it in the mornings when I really don’t need a deep cleanse at all. In fact, a lot of professionals will even tell you that you don’t need to cleanse your skin at all in the mornings as long as you did a good job caring for it the night before and slept on a clean pillowcase. I can’t go that far as to skip my morning cleanse altogether, but I have found that using this in the mornings has really helped my skin have more of a glow to it. It leaves my skin feeling so moisturized and clean, but not stripped.
I kind of want to eat this one because this Pumpkin Enzyme Scrub is DELICIOUS. It smells just like pumpkin pie and all the fall things, but better than that, it makes your skin glowy and smooth, too. It doesn’t contain any synthetic fragrances and has environmentally friendly jojoba beads, which is the physical exfoliant aspect. It also has chemical exfoliating ingredients to really brighten up the complexion.
Just massage it onto damp skin and leave it on for about 3 minutes. You can use it up to 5x per week, but I tend to use it just once or twice a week.
I suffer from melasma. I think it’s partly to do with thyroid imbalances and partly to do with pregnancy and all those added hormones, so finding a good serum to fight skin-pigmentation spots is key for me. This Brightening Serum has natural pigmentation-fading ingredients, so it’s not harsh on the skin. It contains witch hazel (naturally derived from trees), lactic acid (great for hydration and brightening!), azelaic acid (reduces inflammation), and glycolic acid (great skin resurfacer!). It also has tons of calming ingredients.
I love this Oil Free sunscreen because it’s extremely light and doesn’t affect the way my makeup goes on or looks one bit! If anything, it makes it look better, which is a first for me on the sunscreen front.
I am pretty loyal to my favorite rosewater toner, but then I tried this Balancing Mist and I can’t seem to put it down. I use it all throughout the day for different reasons. I use it after I’ve applied all of my skincare, both in the morning and at night, to seal everything in. This is a trick I learned from an NYC esthetician and I really can see the glowy results from doing this. I also use this right before I put on any foundation so that it applies more naturally and with an airbrushed look. Then I use it again after I finish my makeup so that all the products look seamless and more skin-like. Lastly, I spray this all throughout the day whenever I need a pick-me up. Obsessed.
Thanks to Glo Skin Beauty for partnering on this post. This is a brand that I’ve used for years, so it’s a treat to finally be able to work with them. Over the years, I feel like I’ve tried about 30 of their products, from makeup to skincare, and although I haven’t ever found something that I don’t like at all, these are by far the standouts for me and my skin. I wouldn’t ever recommend anything that I don’t truly love, so I hope you enjoy these products too if you decide to try them!
