I don’t remember the last time I’ve been so excited to discover a new clothing brand. I tend to be very brand loyal because when you find something that ticks all the boxes, I think it’s so smart to stick with it. On that note, I’m thrilled to introduce you to M.M. LaFleur, or maybe I’m late to the game! Regardless, what an amazing line full of versatile workwear pieces that are travel-friendly, wrinkle-resistant, and machine washable.
Maybe another reason why this post lights a fire within me is because I can’t tell you how great it felt to put on work clothes! I slipped on these Ginger Pumps and these Shaw Pants and just like that, I was ready for an important business meeting. (Just missing one to attend, haha!) I remember when I worked behind a desk all day, it was really exciting to me to be able to dress up everyday and that was the one thing I truly missed when I left that job. Sometimes working in yoga pants and a t-shirt sounds fabulous, but there’s something to be said about the instant self confidence boost that naturally goes along with a sharp outfit, much like this one. I’ve always said, don’t ever underestimate a woman in stiletto heels. And these, by the way, are top notch when it comes to craftsmanship and comfort. The heel height is perfect, too, and could carry you from day to night.
But back to the functionality of this brand. You can literally throw it all in a suitcase and when you arrive at your destination, put it on and you’re ready to go—no ironing needed. I think that’s what really attracted me to these pants. Nothing is worse than pants that crease when you’ve been sitting in them for a period of time. These are made with some sort of magic fabric (ok, maybe not magic, but impressive, nonetheless) that flatters every curve, feels cool and weightless on, and keeps you looking pulled together at the same time. I paired them with the Para Pullover, and although this sweater could be worn totally on it’s own, I layered it on top of a button-down shirt I already owned.
