It’s finally cooling off a touch in Charleston and I’ve already pulled out all of my sweaters out in excitement. Even though, to be honest, it’s probably still too warm to wear them! I like to splurge on one really nice one each year and then fill in with less expensive options. Last year I bought a dusty mauve colored sweater and wore it on repeat all winter long—and it still looks so perfect. I knew that this year I’d be looking to invest in another one that I love and is made with the same high quality, so I know it’ll last for years and years to come.
I saw this Escada Sport Schinkel Mock Neck Sweater at Bloomingdale’s when we were recently in NYC. I thought about it and thought about it… and then ended up ordering it after getting back home. Escada is a premium brand and while it’s certainly a splurge, it really makes you feel like a million bucks when you put it on and is timeless.
By the way, this was the first time I’ve spent any significant amount of time in the 59th st. Bloomingdale’s while in the city. Woah, what a store! It was recently renovated to the nines. I’m normally just an online shopper since we don’t have much shopping in Charleston and ordering online is just so easy, especially when a return is needed, but I could have spent an entire day in the store! It gave me all of the movie feels—especially the ones that are set in NYC around Christmas time. We are going back at the beginning of December for a project and I’m so excited to see everything decorated for the holidays.
I paired the sweater with these DL1961 Mara jeans. I love this brand and really like the fine corduroy on these. Also wearing these loafers. They are so comfortable and come in various colors! I know I’ll be wearing them a ton this year.
thank you to bloomingdale’s for partnering on this post.
