What’s your ideal NYE? We had a few years there after college when we would buy tickets to the big events in town, but quickly burned out on those. Honestly, my perfect way to ring in the new year is in the mountains with a flannel shirt on (this one would be great). But when I’m not in the mountains, I love going out to a nice dinner with friends before coming home and watching the ball drop in jammies! Honestly, since we’ve had children, we’ve just done NYE very casually, but if I was going out, this dress pictured here is the one I’d have on. I wore it to a holiday party this year, but also think it would be the perfect dress to celebrate on New Year’s Eve. It’s classic, with just the right amount of sparkle. This would also be a wonderful dress to wear to a wedding!
This look is from Bloomingdale’s, a place we all know and love—and it truly saved me this holiday season with ordering clothes for myself and the kids, gifts, and stocking stuffers. I think they have the best selection of home things, but also love that the same store also has beautiful clothing options like fancier pieces like this by Aidan Mattox and a huge selection of casual pieces—and everything in between.
dress | booties (the black ones sold out, but I love the shimmer version, especially for a look like this! And how pretty are these? These heels would look great with it, but size up!) | earrings (by alexis bittar, but they sold out. also love/own these and they are 50% off!) | bag (available in select stores, but this one is similar!)
Thank you to Bloomingdale’s for partnering on this post. All outfit selections and opinions are my own.
