It’s a special place to us, as it is to many, and I’m just so grateful to this beautiful island for holding so many of our favorite memories. We just spent 11 days soaking up as much sun as we could on Harbour Island… here’s a little photo diary of our time there.

This picture below was during our boat trip with Tyman Charters. You’re about to see a lot of photos of our day with them—we snorkled, fed stingrays and sea turtles, saw a dolphin jump next to our boat, and went to a sandbar with two swings out in the middle of the ocean. Such a fun time! They took all of the photos (including the underwater ones) and then sent them to me at the end of the boat trip. I absolutely cannot recommend Tyman enough. This was our second charter with them and hopefully there will be many more!

My favorite drink on the island, the frozen lemonade at The Dunmore. And since you can see our golf cart… we always rent with Major’s Rentals! And yes, I do think you need a golf cart if you’re going to be on Harbour Island. It’s the main mode of transportation!

I love shopping on Briland. Lots of cute shops with handmade creations, high end pieces, and everything in between.

And the food! So amazing. Some of my favorite dishes, which I dream about all year long, are the Ricotta Hotcakes at The Landing for breakfast, the lobster salad sandwich at Coral Sands for lunch (I also love their prosciutto + artichoke pizza!), the Poke bowl at The Dunmore for lunch (and their crispy chicken with truffle frites + sriracha ketchup), the spicy crab capellini at The Landing for dinner, and the acai bowl at Cocoa Coffee for breakfast or a snack. All pictured below!

We stayed at Touchstone… again! You can read about our time there in previous years in most any of my other Harbour Island blog posts. Below are some photos of the two Touchstone properties, the main house and the cottage. You can rent them via VRBO here (house) and here (cottage). Both homes are 2bed/2bath and are on the same large, 1-acre piece of property. We normally stay in the house, but this time we stayed in the cottage and love them both equally! Both feel very private and secluded, but these properties would also be great if you’re renting with another family because you could each have your own place but still be close! The properties have just about anything you could need while on the island, from access to a babysitting service, books and games, daily housekeeping, a closet full of beach toys and boogie boards, and more.

We love Touchstone because it is a few quick steps off of the beach, it has a huge yard for the kids to play, and it has this very authentic “surf shack”, Bahamian cottage feel, but elevated—and recently renovated within the past year! Brandon and I have gotten to know the owners of Touchstone over the years and I can promise you that they are some of the most genuine, kind, adventurous and just plain cool people we know.

One thing we’ve never done on Harbour Island, but did this time at Watson’s request, was ride horses with Marty! Rosie was afraid by herself, so I hopped on. It was awesome!

Immediately made this picture my phone background. Pure joy.

On our last day, we rented Lil Shan’s hobie cat and sailed around! Found a bunch of cool shells, too.

Until next time, Harbour Island. We really really love you.
