Our kitchen! Officially the first (and only) space in our home that is “done.” I know it’s due time I share some new home posts, so figured this is the best place to start. I’ll share some pictures first and then we’ll get into the details.
They are Benjamin Moore Creamy White at 75% strength, which I saw Shea Mcgee do here! Some of my photos in this post make the paint look warmer, cooler, or more saturated, but I would say this photo below is the closest to the way they truly look! They are a nice “putty” color.
Nope! I considered it, but since we already did a “different” medium on the walls, I wanted to stick with a very traditional hood texture. It’s wood and painted the same color as our trim, walls, and ceiling. It’s Benjamin Moore White Dove.
All of our hardware is from Bird Decorative Hardware, which is located downtown Charleston in a super convenient area near Home Team and Edmund’s Oast. They are wonderful and have all sorts of brands and price points. It’s invaluable to see everything in person to compare finishes and feel. We worked with Bill, who has been there for years and definitely knows his stuff! I feel like choosing hardware could be a really tedious and overwhelming decision, especially if you’re choosing for an entire house like we were, but being able to see everything right in front of us and have someone guiding us through lead times and other insider knowledge made it pretty seamless. (We also bought our exterior and interior door hardware from them!)
The pulls, which are only on the trash can drawers, refrigerator, and the dishwashers, are Classic Brass 5″ and 12″ 1860PBNL pulls in Unlacquered Brass. I love the way unlacquered brass patinas and darkens over time.
The knobs are Alno Knobs 1-1/8 Inch Round Solid Ball Cabinet Knob in the Unlacquered Brass finish.
We went to Moluf’s for all of our bathroom and kitchen fixtures! Betsey really helped guide us through all of this, but again, having the help of a a local company is just invaluable versus ordering everything online.
Our faucet and pot filler are both Rohl.
Our sink in both the kitchen and back kitchen are by Shaw.
It’s Carrara Marble from Vitoria International and fabricated by Granite Guys. Together, these two companies are a dream team! This is our third time choosing kitchen countertops and I can confidently say Granite Guys was far superior to everyone else we’ve used, as they held our hands through every selection, meeting us at the stone warehouse and staying in constant touch with us. They just nailed it! We worked with Cornelia, who is so lovely.
They are built into the countertops, as shown below! We ordered these.
Our two pendants above the island and the picture light are both from Circa!
I may not have mentioned specific sources in the FAQs above, but here are more details about everything below! If I forgot something, definitely let me know on my latest Instagram feed post in the comment section. (I’m so much more likely to see that rather than a DM!)
